A shocking series of events has unfolded in Surrey, British Columbia, leaving residents stunned and authorities on high alert. Three men, all foreign nationals, have been charged in connection with a disturbing extortion case.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) revealed that an investigation by their Provincial Extortion Task Force led to these charges. The incidents in question occurred in November 2025, when a house on 32nd Avenue became the target of two separate extortion attempts.
On November 8th, police officers were dispatched to the scene after reports of gunshots. They found the exterior of the house damaged by bullets. Just four days later, the same home was again under attack, with officers responding to another potential shooting.
And here's where the plot thickens: on December 8th, Avtar Singh, aged 21, was charged with unlawfully firing a weapon in connection with these events. But the story doesn't end there. In a recent update, the RCMP disclosed that Avtar Singh now faces an additional charge of extortion.
The other two accused, Sandeep Singh (28) and Jagdeep Singh (24), have also been charged with both unlawful discharge of a firearm and extortion. The RCMP confirmed that Sandeep Singh is in custody, while Avtar Singh's status is unclear.
The case takes a turn as the RCMP in Alberta enters the picture. They've issued a Canada-wide warrant for Jagdeep Singh, wanted for extortion-related incidents in their province. Interestingly, he's also sought by the Canada Border Services Agency on immigration charges.
Jagdeep Singh is described as a slender individual with black hair and brown eyes. The RCMP is urging anyone with information to come forward, as the search for this fugitive continues.
But the question remains: what led to these charges and how will this case unfold? The public awaits further details as the investigation progresses. Stay tuned for more updates on this captivating story.
